Without My Sewing Machine

Since the disaster with the three sewing machines.......I have hardly sewn a stitch! I have come to the conclusion that my machine needs to be taken to the shop...boooo!!

As always though some disasters are blessings in disguise, and I have reconnected with my non sewing crafts :)

Fall Chile

The unofficial start to fall arrived over Labor Day weekend, here's how we celebrate around these parts.....

So I made my fabric choice....



I ordered it last Monday.....and it won't arrive until NEXT WED!!!! I am determined to catch up to the rest of you guys at the pants along....so stay tuned :)

At this rate I will get to wear my new shorts next summer......can't wait!

Ok, so I may be getting a bit personal here.....but really, every little day to day activity has an impact and deserves to be mentioned, don't you think?

Needless to say I have :) and so far it has saved over 1000 tampons or pads (and their boxes, wrappers, and containers) from being made and thrown away. Not to mention the nearly $200 I would have spent buying all that trash! I also never have rush to the store in an emergency situation :)

This is a fairly simply idea and it is explained in detail on the above website. Although it took a while to get used to, I am now an expert and it is as easy and comfortable as any other option.
