Simple Weekend Pleasures

During a long day at work, its nice to take a break and reflect on the simple pleasure of the previous weekend.....

A walk with a good friend!

A tiny seed treasure

A Colorful Fire Hydrant

The warmth of a humid greenhouse

The calm and color of our local plant nursery

Lastly a quiet and clean craft room (begging to be noisy and messy!)

Hope this helps you get through a long work week also....I feel better already!

He's got it!

I realize that I am not the only mother out their that thinks her son is the greatest.....but seriously, this kiddo is one cool dude!

Look at him go with my camera that is as big as his head...

He's got quite an eye for composition as well...

Maybe he just got lucky, but I'd rather think that he's a genius!

Felt Pizza Tutorial

Kiddo has taken to pretending our round soap is pizza dough and runs around the house throwing it up in the air......so I decided to make him a special felt pizza, and I wanted to share the process with you!

Heere we go!

Cut two round pieces, size is up to you but make them the same.

Sew the two together about 1 1/2 inches from the edge.

Fold under both raw edges and pin together.

Blanket stitch edges to finish the dough.

Cut out some toppings and enjoy!

I fully intend to embellish the toppings and make more of them, but being a working mom and all, kiddo would be 10 before he got to play with them!

So.....

This will do for now, since the pizza is going to be eaten by whales anyway ;)

Thanks, and pass it on!
